Obituary
Wilma Darlene Maiden, 76 of Farmer City passed away
at 7:10 p.m. Monday. May 11,2015, at Farmer City
Rehabilitation and Health Care.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May
15, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer
City.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, also at
the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove
Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Farmer City
Raceway, American Legion Auxiliry Post 55, or the
VFW Auxiliary 6190.
Darlene was born May 17, 1938, in Kenney to Dale
Lawrence and Pauline Roney Irvin.
Surviving are two sons, Dion (Susan) Lathram and
John Lathram, both of Farmer City: one daughter,
Sherry (Jim) Crosslin of Albuquerque, NM;
grandchildren, Dion Lathrom Jr., April (Jason)
Collins, Aime Lathram and Jason (Natasha) Lathram;
great-grandchildren, Addyson, Isabella and Breelyn
Lathram and Jessica and James Collins; and sisters
Patsy (Wayne) Zurkammer, Debbie O’Connor and Barbie
(Robert) Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one
great-granddaughter, Clara Grace Lathram.
Darlene worked for Roberson Trucking for 30-plus
years before moving over to Brandt Trucking for
another five years. She worked at the Farmer City
Raceway for over 42 years.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary
Post 55 and VFW Auxiliary 6190 in Farmer City.
Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother, sister and devoted friend who
will be deeply missed. |
