Astros 8, Blue Jays 4
George Springer, Jose Altuve and Luis Valbuena all smacked home runs
while Will Harris turned in a clutch relief performance to lift the
Houston Astros to a victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
With their three homers the Astros (23-13) increased their American
League-leading total to 52. Valbuena extended his club-leading total
to nine home runs in seventh inning.
The Blue Jays (17-20) lost their third consecutive game.

Tigers 10, Cardinals 4
Miguel Cabrera became his country's all-time leading home run hitter
as the Detroit Tigers beat National League-leading St. Louis.
The Venezuelan first baseman launched his 399th career homer,
surpassing former major leaguer Andres Galarraga.
Detroit (22-14) pounded out 17 hits to top St. Louis (24-11) and
stay a game behind Kansas City in the American League Central.

Royals 12, Yankees 1
Lorenzo Cain drove in a career-high five runs, and right-hander
Chris Young provided the Kansas City Royals with another solid start
in a victory over the New York Yankees.
Third baseman Mike Moustakas stroked four hits and scored three
runs, both equaling career bests, and Young (3-0) limited the
Yankees (21-16) to four hits and one run over 5 2/3 innings.
Kansas City (23-13) kept their one-game lead in the American League
Central.

Mariners 2, Red Sox 1
Nelson Cruz's two-out, RBI single with a runner on second base drove
in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Mariners
beat Boston.
Seth Smith homered for Seattle (16-19) against Boston (17-19)
pitcher Clay Buchholz who struck out 11 batters in eight innings of
a no-decision.

Dodgers 6, Rockies 4
Clayton Kershaw captured his 100th career victory, and the Los
Angeles Dodgers earned a victory over the Colorado Rockies.
Los Angeles (23-12) shortstop Jimmy Rollins homered and went 4-for-5
with two RBIs.
Kershaw (2-2) struck out 10 and becomes the second youngest pitcher,
next to Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez, to reach the 100-win
mark.

Brewers 7, Mets 0
Kyle Lohse allowed two hits over eight shutout innings and right
fielder Ryan Braun hit two homers as the Milwaukee Brewers routed
the New York Mets.
Gerardo Parra homered, had two RBIs and came within a triple of the
cycle for the Brewers (13-23) who improved to 6-5 under new manager
Craig Counsell.
The Mets fell to 20-16.

Nationals 10, Padres 0
Jordan Zimmermann's pitching and Bryce Harper's 13th home run helped
the Washington Nationals beat the San Diego Padres.
Zimmermann (3-2) worked six scoreless innings to win his fourth
straight decision for the Nationals (20-17). He struck out six as
the Padres (19-18) were shut out for the fourth time in 11 games.

Twins 3, Rays 2
A two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted the
Minnesota Twins and right-hander Phil Hughes to a win over the Tampa
Bay Rays.
Trailing 2-1, Danny Santana hit a game-tying triple and Brian Dozier
followed with a sacrifice-fly to lift the Twins (20-16).
Tampa Bay fell to 20-17.

Cubs 11, Pirates 10 (12 innings)
Matt Szczur's one-out base hit in the 12th inning drove home Starlin
Castro from third with a game-winning run as the Chicago Cubs
claimed a walk-off victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Francisco Cervilli had four RBIs for the Pirates (17-19) and Kris
Bryant had four for the Cubs (20-15) in a game that lasted more than
five hours and saw 16 pitchers used.

Angels 3, Orioles 1
Starter Jered Weaver shut down the Orioles for 7 1/3 innings, and
Albert Pujols homered as the Los Angeles Angels stretched their
winning streak to four games.
Weaver (2-4) threw a complete game shutout in his last outing for
the Angels (18-17) -- May 8 against the Houston Astros - and
followed it with another impressive outing.

Giants 10, Reds 2
Brandon Belt and Buster Posey homered and Madison Bumgarner pitched
seven solid innings, lifting the San Francisco Giants to a victory
over the Cincinnati Reds.
Center fielder Billy Hamilton and shortstop Zack Cozart homered for
Cincinnati (18-18), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Bumgarner allowed two runs and struck out four for the Giants
(18-18).

Phillies 4, Diamondbacks 3
Pinch-hitter Jeff Francoeur drove in the go-ahead run with an RBI
single in a three-run seventh inning as the Philadelphia Phillies
beat the Arizona Diamondbacks for their first three-game winning
streak of the season.
Shortstop Freddy Galvis, who reached base three times and scored
twice, drove in the other two runs in the inning for the Phillies
(14-23) with a single.

Braves 5, Marlins 3
The Atlanta Braves, who had lost five of their past six games,
scored two runs in the eighth inning to beat the Miami Marlins.
Todd Cunningham went 3-for-4 and broke a 3-3 tie with an RBI single
in the eighth for the Braves (16-19).

White Sox 7, Athletics 6
Designated hitter Adam LaRoche and right fielder Avisail Garcia hit
back-to-back two-run doubles in a five-run seventh inning, and the
Chicago White Sox rallied for a victory against the Oakland A's.
The White Sox (15-17) won their third straight game, all on the
road, and won in Oakland (13-24) for just the second time in their
past nine games at the Coliseum.

Indians 8, Rangers 3
Cleveland designated hitter Nick Swisher had three hits to lead a
rare offensive outburst in the Indians' victory over Texas.
Cleveland (13-21) had scored a total of six runs over the three
previous games but broke out against Texas (15-21). Jason Kipnis
went 4-for-5 and scored three times.
