[May 17, 2015]  LINCOLN - The public is invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Cresco Labs medical marijuana cultivation facility being constructed north of Lincoln at the intersection of Old Rt. 66 and 1800th Street. The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 9:30am on Saturday, June 6th. Members of the Logan County Board will be on hand to welcome representatives from Cresco Labs, as together they turn a few representative shovels of dirt to acknowledge the start of construction of the new facility, which actually commenced a few weeks earlier.

Following the groundbreaking, the Logan County Economic Development Partnership office will host a public Informational Meeting to officially welcome Cresco Labs to the Logan County business community and to provide the public at large with information regarding the nature and operation of the new Cresco Lab facility. This will be an opportunity for anyone interested to learn what the facility is, what it will do, when it will begin operations, and why it is being located in Logan County. Details will also be presented regarding employment opportunities at the new facility including specific positions that need to be filled and the desired qualifications for them.

The public is encouraged to attend both the Groundbreaking Ceremony and the Informational Meeting to learn about one of Logan County’s newest businesses and the employment opportunities it has to offer. The Informational Meeting will be held from 10:30am-Noon at the Davidson-Sheffer Gymnasium on the campus of Lincoln College, 300 Keokuk Street in Lincoln.
