The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to
five lead changes in the game.
Wyatt O’Donoghue racked up four RBIs on three hits for Lincoln
Heat 10U.
The top of the first saw Lincoln Heat 10U take an early lead,
1-0. Jaden Leadley singled to ignite Lincoln Heat 10U's offense.
A stolen base then moved Leadley from first to second. A few
plays later, Jaden stole home.
Jacksonville scored three runs of its own in the first.
Lincoln Heat 10U tied the game in the second on a passed ball
that scored Luke Jones.
Lincoln Heat 10U built on its lead with five runs in the fourth.
A bases-loaded walk scored Darren Stevens to get Lincoln Heat
10U on the board in the inning. That was followed up by
Leadley’s single, scoring Bricen Gillum.
With the victory, the Lincoln Heat 10U wnet to the semi-finals
of the Chatham Memorial Day Tournament on Sunday, taking on the
Springfield Jr. Cyclones.
