 05/29/2015 NFL Note - Dallas Cowboys Wilson, Damien
LB Damien Wilson, selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the
draft (127th overall), signed a four-year contract Thursday (May
28). Wilson will receive a signing bonus of $466,316 and base
salaries of $435,000, $525,000, $615,000 and $705,000.
The Cowboys have high hopes for Wilson as a backup at weak-side and
middle linebacker. He will cross train at both positions as a rookie
as Sean Lee and Rolando McClain, the two starters at the respective
positions, have been known to be injury prone.

NFL Note - Cleveland Browns Kitchen, Ishmaa'ily
NT Ishmaa'ily Kitchen signed his restricted free-agent tender with
the Browns Thursday (May 28).

NFL Note - Cincinnati Bengals Kroft, Tyler
TE Tyler Kroft, selected by the Bengals in the third round of the
draft (85th overall), agreed to terms on a four-year contract
(Wednesday) May 27.
Kroft started 24 of 37 games in three seasons at Rutgers and led the
team in catches in 2013 as junior with 43 and in receiving yards
with 573.
"We graded Tyler as the best of the tight end prospects in this
draft," Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said. "He has a great upside
both as a blocker and a receiver. It was really a blessing in
disguise for him that Rutgers went to pounding the ball on the
ground last year.
"He had to put his hand in the dirt and work that physical game, and
that helped him in the eyes of people evaluating him, because we
don't get to see that that much anymore with tight ends in college
football."

NFL Note - * Free Agents Simms, Matt
QB Matt Simms was waived by the Jets Thursday (May 28). Simms, a
three-year veteran, was buried on the depth chart behind incumbent
starter Geno Smith, veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick and rookie fourth-round
pick Bryce Petty.
Simms, the son of former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms,
signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in
2012.
He completed 19 of 39 passes for 195 yards, a touchdown and an
interception during backup duty for the Jets in four games over the
past three years.

NFL Note - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Bogotay, Brandon
K Brandon Bogotay (6-3, 207) was signed by the Buccaneers Thursday
(May 28). He originally entered the league as a college free agent
with the Cleveland Browns in 2013, spending the offseason and
preseason with the team, before being waived as the team reduced its
roster to the 53-man limit. He attended the Buccaneers' rookie
minicamp on a tryout basis this offseason.

NFL Note - Denver Broncos Harris, Ryan
T Ryan Harris, who wasn't tendered as a UFA by the Chiefs, was
signed by the Broncos Thursday (Mat 28) after Denver lost left
tackle Ryan Clady for the season because of a torn ACL.
