NHL roundup: Blues best Blackhawks in OT

[November 05, 2015]  CHICAGO -- Vladimir Tarasenko scored in overtime, lifting the St. Louis Blues to a 6-5 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night.

Tarasenko's wrist shot with 1:06 remaining in the extra session capped a four-goal comeback by the Blues. Alexander Steen scored twice, and Robby Fabbri, Jay Bouwmeester and David Backes each netted one goal for St. Louis.

The Blackhawks tallied five goals in the first period but could not hold on to a 5-2 lead. Marko Dano, Andrew Shaw, Teuvo Teravainen, Brent Seabrook and Patrick Kane each scored for Chicago.

St. Louis goaltender Jake Allen stopped 27 of 28 shots after relieving starter Brian Elliott early in the game. Elliott allowed four goals on 15 shots before he was replaced with 2:16 remaining in the first period.

Jets 4, Maple Leafs 2

TORONTO -- Alexander Burmistrov scored late in the third period, giving Winnipeg a victory over Toronto.

The Jets added a short-handed goal at 19:34 of the third by Bryan Little. Dustin Byfuglien and Mark Scheifele also scored for Winnipeg.

Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau and Leo Komarov scored for the Maple Leafs.

Ondrej Pavelec made 24 stops in the Winnipeg goal. Toronto goaltender James Reimer made 29 saves.
