Set in Verona as the city burns under the summer’s heat. The longtime feud between the Montague and Capulet families rises and disrupts Verona’s summer. The Princess decrees: if Montague or Capulet again disrupts the peace, lives will answer to the law. Violence stains Verona’s streets as the feud escalates. Against this horror, Shakespeare sets Romeo and Juliet, a tale of true love found and tragically lost within a cycle of hatred.
