Runyon Named October ALMH Employee of the Month

[November 09, 2015]  LINCOLN - Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital has announced Roberta Runyon of Broadwell as the October Employee of the Month. For over 17 years, Runyon has worked in the patient accounts department at ALMH and has been with Memorial Health System for a total of 20 years.

As a Blue Cross/Commercial Specialist, Runyon prepares claims for insurance companies, answers customer phone calls, and assists with general billing and insurance questions.

Co-workers nominated Runyon for the recognition stating, “Roberta cares about ALMH. She has a strong desire to do everything with accuracy and catch any potential errors. She consistently helps our team by getting involved when anyone needs help and tirelessly works to resolve insurance billing problems for our patients. ”

Runyon enjoys her work and appreciates the environment at ALMH, “I like the standards that ALMH holds to their employees. I love the job itself but also the people that I work with. In my position, rules are constantly changing so I also like that each day is different,” said Runyon.

In her spare time, Runyon works with the cattle her family raises in Broadwell. She also enjoys reading and working on home improvements. She has been married to her husband Dale for 27 years. They have two sons, Matthew and Nathan.
