The disciplinary action comes a week after the Cowboys released
Randle, who had left the team to deal with an unspecified personal
issue.
Randle is currently not on a team's active roster, but the
suspension begins immediately.
Earlier this year, the NFL investigated an arrest in February in
Randle's hometown of Wichita, Kan. Police refused to pursue charges
against him in a domestic disturbance complaint, but the NFL's
investigators determined that Randle violated league policies.

Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib will sit out Sunday's game
against the Kansas City Chiefs after the NFL upheld his one-game
suspension for poking Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen in
the eye last Sunday.
Talib appealed the suspension, calling the incident "an honest
mistake." However, he did apologize for the incident Monday after
the suspension was levied.

The Indianapolis Colts announced that quarterback Andrew Luck will
be sidelined two to six weeks after being diagnosed with a lacerated
kidney and a partial tear of the abdominal muscle.
Backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck will take over as Indianapolis'
starter. He is 2-0 already this season as he directed the Colts to
wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans while Luck was
nursing a right shoulder injury.

If Josh McCown is healthy, he will start at quarterback this week
for the Cleveland Browns against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Browns coach Mike Pettine said Tuesday that no decision on the
starter has been made yet, but McCown is in line to reclaim the job
over Johnny Manziel, who filled in last Thursday in a 31-10 loss to
the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 36-year-old McCown suffered a rib injury on Nov. 1.

Sean Lee suffered his second concussion in five weeks Sunday night

Cadet, 26, who played at Appalachian State, was signed by the New

Decision day is near for Baltimore tight end Dennis Pitta, who has
until Wednesday to decide if he is going to play this year.
Wednesday is the final day the Ravens can add him to the 53-man
roster.
Pitta began the season on the physically unable to perform list
after suffering a dislocated hip last season. It was the same hip
and same injury he suffered the previous year.

Oakland Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong is reportedly under
investigation by the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office in Pittsburgh
after allegedly taunting a K-9 service dog before a game against the
Steelers on Sunday at Heinz Field.
According to ESPN, the alleged crime is a third-degree felony in
Pennsylvania and charges could be brought against Armstrong by the
end of the week. Armstrong apparently barked at the dog while
lifting his shirt and pounding his chest between leaving the locker
room for the field during warmups, chief deputy Kevin Kraus said.

The New York Giants signed defensive tackle Montori Hughes from
their practice squad after placing defensive lineman Johnathan
Hankins on injured reserve.

The Minnesota Vikings placed linebacker Audie Cole on injured
reserve and signed linebacker Jason Trusnik to the active roster.
