 Bob Iger, chairman and chief executive of Disney, was appointed as
non-executive chairman on Wednesday by Carson Holdings, which was
formed to bring the Chargers and the Raiders to the proposed
facility built by the company.
If the NFL approves the plan, Iger would be responsible for hiring
the executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning
of the $1.7 billion stadium that would be built on a 168-acre plot
of land that is located 13 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy changed his Twitter profile
for a brief time Wednesday morning to declare his innocence and
state that he is a victim of discrimination.
Hardy's Twitter handle remained @OverlordKraken, but he changed his
name to "Perfection."
He wrote in the account's bio: "Innocent until proven guilty-lack of
knowledge & information is just ignorance-the unjust/prejudicial
treatment of diff categories of people is discrimination."
Hardy later took that profile down. Domestic violence charges filed
last year against Hardy have been expunged.

Coach Mike McCarthy said running back James Starks will start ahead
of Eddie Lacy when the Green Bay Packers host to the Detroit Lions
on Sunday.
McCarthy said Starks "is our No. 1 back right now going into
Detroit."
Lacy has rushed for more than 1,100 yards in each of his first two
seasons but has just 308 yards through eight games this season.
Starks is the team's leading rusher with 334 yards on five fewer
carries.

The Tennessee Titans activated running back David Cobb from the
injured reserve/designated to return list and waived veteran
quarterback Charlie Whitehurst.
A fifth-round pick by the Titans in the 2015 NFL Draft, Cobb joins
running backs Antonio Andrews, Dexter McCluster and Bishop Sankey,
along with fullback Jalston Fowler.

The Arizona Cardinals waived/injured cornerback Cariel Brooks
(ankle) and elevated cornerback Robert Wilson Jr. from the practice
squad to the active roster.

Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin indicated running back
DeAngelo Williams will be limited early in the week with a foot
injury. He is expected to play against the Cleveland Browns on
Sunday, but the injury does shine a light on the depth, or lack
thereof.
Jordan Todman is his backup, and Isaiah Pead was signed last week
off the street. Pead did not dress for the Raiders game because he
was not up to speed with the playbook.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with 141,750 votes, is
leading all players in voting by fans for the 2016 Pro Bowl.
NFL.com announced that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers
(120,242 votes) ranks second overall, followed by Cincinnati Bengals
quarterback Andy Dalton (114,368 votes), Atlanta Falcons running
back Devonta Freeman (103,334 votes), Patriots tight end Rob
Gronkowski (101,674 votes) and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam
Newton (94,810 votes).

Cornerback Josh Robinson of the Minnesota Vikings was activated from
the physically unable to perform list and is eligible to play in
Sunday's game at Oakland.
To make room on the roster for Robinson, who had a torn pectoral
muscle, the Vikings released tight end Chase Ford. (Editing by
