Service: Private graveside services to be held Monday, November 9.

MIDDLETOWN-Lloyd Heidbreder, 83, of Middletown, passed away at 6:37 a.m. November 4, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Lloyd was born September 11, 1932 the son of Henry and Emma Kopf Heidbreder. He married Joann Thompson June 6, 1954 in Lincoln. She preceded him in death.

Lloyd is survived by three sons: Dale (Candee) Heidbreder of New Castle, CA; Rick (Tammy) Heidbreder of Lincoln; and Scott (Teresa-“Dollie”) Heidbreder of Middletown; two brothers: Fred and Vernon; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers: Henry and Harold Heidbreder; sisters-in-law: Dorothy and Betty Jo Heidbreder.

 

Lloyd proudly served his country while in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950-1953 and worked as a truck driver for Lincoln Transfer/State of Illinois. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, camping at Lost Arrow Camp Grounds with his long time companion, Betty Eaton.

Private graveside services will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 with full military rites accorded by the Lincoln American Legion Post #263. Memorials may be made in Lloyd’s name to the Lincoln American Legion Post #263 or Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital (Acute Care Unit ,SPA or LAB)
