Tuesday morning fire believed to be intentionally set

[November 19, 2015]  LINCOLN - On the morning of November 17th, at approximately 6:50 a.m., the Lincoln fire department responded to a structure fire at 1618 Pekin Street.

The first arriving company found a one story dwelling with smoke and fire venting from the roof. Crews made an initial attack with a 1-3.4 inch handline and quickly deployed a second 1-3/4 inch line.

The damage to the residence is estimated at $80,000.

There were no civilian injuries. However, one firefighter was injured. He was treated at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

The residence was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

The fire is believed to be intentionally set and is still under investigation.
