[November 24, 2015]  The Lincoln Park District has been providing Central Illinois with quality programs and activities since 1961. Located on historic Route 66, Lincoln known as the “namesake city” is the only town to be named for Abraham Lincoln before he became President. In fact, he christened the town with the juice of a watermelon.

There is always something great going on at the Park District!  Check out all the great things going on over the next few weeks!

Treats with Santa

Bring the kids to the park district on Saturday, December 12 from 9:00-11:00am to meet Santa. Milk and treats will be provided and this is a free event!

Parent’s Day Out

Parents, do you need a day out to finish shopping, see a movie, or just relax? Then drop your kids off at the Lincoln Park District for a day of fun on Sunday, December 13 from 2:00-5:00pm! We will be playing games, doing arts & crafts, eating snack, and much more! This program is for kids ages 4-12 and is free to attend. Please register your child by Friday, 12/11 by calling 217-732-8770 so that we have enough snack.

Adult Cooking Class

Join us on Tuesday, December 8 at 11:00am as Chef Kathy Tebrugge will show you how to cook dishes that can be elegant for entertaining and easy for a weeknight supper. This class will be immediately followed by a lunch. Deadline to register is 12:00pm on 12/4 and the registration fee is $25/person. You will leave the class with a copy of the recipe and cooking tips that were covered. Call us for information about the menu or to register for the class.

Still Accepting Junior Railer Registrations

Did you miss the deadline to sign up for Junior Railer Boys Basketball? If so, no worries! We are still accepting registrations. Stop by the park district front office during our open hours to sign your child up.
