TCU looks to snap a two-game slide on Wednesday. The Horned Frogs
had won 20 straight non-conference games dating back to 2013-14
prior to their recent skid. Illinois State will be no easy task,
however. The Redbirds led No. 3 Maryland by five points in the
second half of their semifinal contest before falling 77-66.

ABOUT TCU (2-2): Brandon Parrish was the lone TCU player to hit
double figures, finishing with 13 points in its 66-60 semifinal loss
to Rhode Island. The Horned Frogs trailed most of the way but took a
two-point lead with 1:47 to play before URI's Four McGlynn later
buried a huge 3-pointer in a game that featured seven ties and eight
lead-changes. Vladimir Brodziansky, who was named Big 12 Newcomer of
the Week last week, had eight points and six rebounds but TCU was
hindered by foul problems, losing three players by the end of the
contest.
ABOUT ILLINOIS STATE (2-3): The Redbirds have beaten a ranked team
each of the past four seasons and almost got another one on Tuesday.
The Redbirds got 17 points from MiKyle McIntosh and 15 from Paris
Lee but ran out of gas against the third-ranked Terps. Illinois
State used 10 players extensively in the semifinals, which should
lead to some fresh legs for the consolation game on Wednesday.
