Obituary
Mary Jane Prather, 96, of Lincoln passed away at
10:00 p.m. September 29, 2015 at St. Clara’s Manor,
Lincoln.
Mary Jane was born October 21, 1918 in Montgomery,
Alabama the daughter of Joseph Hubley and Violet I.
Rogers Walters. She married Leo A. Ingram and later
divorced. She married Emery E. Prather February 14,
1964. He preceded her in death October 4, 2000.
Mary Jane is survived by one son: Tracy L. Ingram of
Kenney; two daughters: Nancy Jane (Ron) Keal of
Green Valley, AZ and Marianne Ingram of Lincoln;
nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and
one great-great-grandchild. She is the last of her
immediate family. She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband, Emery Prather; one son, Charles E.
“Bud” Ingram and one brother, Charles E. Walters.

Mary Jane worked as a waitress and cook at various
restaurants and truck stops. She attended Lincoln
Church of God. She was a former member of the Motor
Maids of America in Lincoln, Tuscola, Champaign and
Harlingen, TX Road Riders; and the Harley Owners
Group (HOG). She was an avid Harley rider.
Services for Mary Jane will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday
October 3, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln, with Larry Crawford officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior (10:00-11:00 a.m.)
to the service. Burial at Old Union cemetery will
follow the service. Memorials may be made in Mary
Jane’s name to American Cancer Society or Humane
Society of Logan County.
