“Safe Ride helps to keep our streets safer during events and
holidays when children and families are more likely to be
celebrating away from home. Our hope is that Oktoberfest
participants will remember that the service is available and choose
not to drink and drive,” said Angela Stoltzenburg, Healthy
Communities Partnership Manager.
Oktoberfest will be held at the Oasis Senior Center located at 2810
Woodlawn Road in Lincoln from 11am to 10pm on Saturday, October 3rd.
The event will raise funds for both the Oasis and the Humane Society
of Logan County. The event will consist of delicious German food
being served all day and an outdoor beer garden manned by HSLC
volunteers. The band, Hat Trick, will perform from 7pm to 10pm.
There will also be face painting for the kids and games for adults.

In 2015, Safe Ride will also be available Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and
New Year’s Eve.
To receive a free ride home within the city limits on any of these nights, ask
the bartender for a Safe Ride ticket.
