[October 13, 2015]  LINCOLN - Jesse E. Robinson, 86, of Lincoln passed away at 3:31 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Christian Village, Lincoln.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10, at Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service:  11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Obituary

Jesse E. Robinson, 86, of Lincoln passed away at 3:31 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Christian Village, Lincoln.

Jesse was born July 1, 1929 in Mount Pulaski, the son of Lonnie and Dollie Miers Robinson. He married Phyllis Linne in 1948 in Indianapolis, IN. She survives in Lincoln.

Also surviving Jesse are his three daughters: Linda (Jerry) Purlee of Lawndale; Darla(Joe Szoke) Robinson of Lincoln; and Tina Wencel of Mount Pulaski; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one sister: Trella (Neal) Young of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Doris Canada.

Jesse retired from Lincoln Developmental Center, Lincoln as the Assistant Chief of the Power Plant. He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1950. He enjoyed fishing, antique cars, especially his 1915 Brass Model T Ford. Above all else, Jesse loved his family.

Services for Jesse will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Henry Johnson officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service (9:00-11:00) at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorials may be given in Jesse’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
