As many folks already know,
work has begun to remove the rail cars from the Lincoln Depot site.
On Monday work began in earnest, and it appeared to be a day of
staging to get ready for a big move on Tuesday.
Cranes were brought in to the site and placed at either end of the
Pullman cars.
One of the larger tasks Monday appeared to be getting the large
cranes properly weighted down so they would be able to lift the
heavy railcars without tipping over.
According to Acting Mayor Marty Neitzel the Pullman cars will be
removed from the site today. Work to move the first car is scheduled
to start at approximately 7:30 a.m.
