On Saturday afternoon, all
three of the remaining railcars at the Lincoln Depot were setting
ready to go down the road. The two cabooses were loaded, one each
onto low-boy semi trailers, and the last Pullman car was sitting on
the road with the moving dollies beneath it.
Talking with some folks who have been past the construction site
daily, on Saturday they said that the crews moving the cars had been
working evening and at night. Which stands to reason, as on Friday
when LDN went passed the site there was no one around, and not much
had been done since the first big move on Thursday.
What is fun to see, though we can only get a small glimpse, is the
fact that the pass-through between the station and the baggage house
is now opened up and the building looks like it did when built, with
two buildings joined together by one roof.
