The evening will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the school's cafeteria
with a pulled pork or pork chop sandwich dinner that also features
potato salad, coleslaw, chips and a drink, all free-will donation.
A silent auction, balloon pop games, fishing games, a cake walk and
a bake sale will also take place in the cafeteria prior to the
match.
Just before the 6 p.m. JV match, cancer survivors will be honored as
the gym lights go dim. As the lights are coming back on, there will
be a serving contest for free pizzas taking place on the court.
Following the JV match auctioneer Mike Maske will do a live auction
in the gym for some very nice items, according to Coach Donna Dulle.
This year Mount Pulaski Grade School has gotten heavily involved in
the high school fundraiser as their beloved secretary, Anna Beckers,
will be the recipient of this year's proceeds. Beckers was recently
diagnosed with breast cancer. Each class from grades K - 12 has
donated "loaded gift baskets" and the junior class even collected
enough money to buy a TV to be auctioned. Beckers' daughter,
Alexandra, is a junior and the setter on the Lady Toppers Volleyball
Team.

Different organizations at Mount Pulaski High School have also taken it upon
themselves to donate items for the live auction. A fire pit, a Go-Pro sports
camera and an afghan are among other items to be auctioned in hopes of raising a
record amount this year. There will also be a 50-50 raffle.
The Varsity match between Mount Pulaski and Riverton will be the grand finale of
the evening and that will take place following the live auction.
Come on out to MPHS tonight and support this cause and enjoy the evening, while
helping a member of the community.
