Lincoln passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 4:01 a.m. at
the Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home in Lincoln..

Obituary
Barbara J. Johnson, 89, of Lincoln passed away on
Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 4:11 a.m. at the
Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Graveside services for Mrs. Johnson will be held on
Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at the Irish
Grove Cemetery in Middletown with Mr. Maurice
Stribling officiating.
No Visitation is scheduled.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
Barbara J. Johnson was born on November 3, 1925 in
Hadley Township, Indiana the daughter of Chester and
Gladys Berry McLain. She was united in marriage to
Henry John Johnson in March 18, 1946. He preceded
her in death in 1995.
She is survived by one son: Johnnie Lee (Cindy
Ridgeway) Johnson of Pana. Three grandchildren and
five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son: Robert Eugene
Johnson, two brothers.
Barbara was of the Baptist faith. She retired from
Franklin Life Insurance in Springfield in the
bookkeeping department.
She was also the former Mayor of Middletown.
Memorials may be made to Safe Haven Hospice.
