Family and friends are invited to celebrate with the couple
at an open house to be held on the 17th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the
Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1510 North Main Street, Normal. The
couple has requested no gifts, please.
Dwayne Marten and Sharon Hamer were united in marriage October 17,
1965, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Emden. Dwayne is the son
of Harold and Mabel Marten and Sharon is the daughter of Harold and
Luella Hamer.

Dwayne and Sharon owned and operated Marten Motors in Emden for
several years. Today, Dwayne is employed part-time at Menards in
Normal and Sharon works at Decorator's Grocery in Bloomington.
The couple raised two daughters; Brenda (Wayne) Bartley of Lincoln
and Beth (Travis) Lorance of Normal. They have two granddaughters;
Lorenda (Gerard_ Bolling of St. Louis MO, and Kayla Lorance of
Normal, and four step-grandchildren.
