[October 20, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln MS Walk will return next year with the annual fundraiser scheduled to take place on May 1, 2016, at Kickapoo Creek Park, in Lincoln.

Although the walk won't be until next May, the local chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society is making plans now for the fundraiser.

The chapter is under new leadership with Dr. Ron Pierce, a retired Lincoln veterinarian, stepping into the chairperson's post. He succeeds longtime chairperson Nancy Ireland.

A "Meet and Greet" has been scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd at 7 p.m. in the Steinfort Rooms A and B at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

This event is open to the public, with the planning committee encouraging everyone who may be interested in being a part of the walk next year to attend. This will also serve as the MS Walk chapter's organizational meeting and planning kickoff for the 2016 fundraiser.
