Visit our pumpkin patch and choose your favorite to take home
and carve or stop by and decorate it at the pumpkin salon! Enjoy
live music, fall color walks, a scarecrow factory, and other
entertainment with an autumn theme. Children will delight in
old-fashioned fun like bobbing for pumpkins and pumpkin bowling.
Step back in time to visit a 1750’s trading post and
frontiersman’s camp, and meet other historical re-enactors.
Explore booths featuring handmade, nature-inspired items. Watch
the Illinois Valley Blacksmith’s and Central Illinois
Woodturners demonstrate their skills. Indulge in seasonal
treats, roast marshmallows at the campfire, tour the Sugar Grove
Observatory, and explore over 7 miles of hiking trails on a
delightful autumn day. Admission will be charged with children 3
and underfree. There is small fee for some activities.
Sugar Grove Nature Center is located in beautiful, historic Funks
Grove, just south of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, off of Old Route
66. Visit
