The team said Keith's surgery was successful and projected his
return to all hockey activities as early as the final week of
November.
Keith, 32, is the top defenseman for the Blackhawks. Chicago has
pressing concerns about depth and is especially thin along the blue
line.

Veteran NHL forward Curtis Glencross decided to retire after failing
to land a contract this season as an unrestricted free agent.
The 32-year-old last played for the Washington Capitals during the
2014-15 regular season and the playoffs.

The Calgary Flames sent Finnish center Markus Granlund back to
Stockton of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.
Granlund played in one game for the Flames during his call-up
against the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 17. Before Granlund joined the
Flames, he had one goal and one assists in Stockton's 7-0 win to
open the season on Oct. 10.

The Anaheim Ducks assigned forward Chris Wagner to San Diego of the
American Hockey League.
The 24-year-old Wagner played in one game for Anaheim this season
and had no points. In four preseason games for the Ducks, he scored
