Rebecca Brooks named LTEC Student of the Month for October

[October 26, 2015]  LINCOLN - Rebecca Brooks, daughter of Keith & Kim Brooks, was named October Student of the Month for the Cosmetology program at the Lincolnland Technical Education Center.

Rebecca is a senior at Lincoln Community High School. Ms. Tiffany Vincent, instructor, selected Rebecca for her wonderful abilities as well as being a good role model for other students. Ms. Vincent says that Rebecca is considerate and shows respect to her instructor and also her classmates. “Rebecca is open to learning new skills and has a positive attitude. She has a great outlook and good attendance. She participates in class discussion, shows effort and excitement in what she is accomplishing. Rebecca has a good work ethic and is dependable. Rebecca is a responsible student, good person and a pleasure to have in class.”

Rebecca has worked at Arby’s for a year, managed the LCHS football team and has been an office helper in the assistant principal’s office.

Rebecca plans to go to go to college to work with animals in some capacity.

Rebecca received a $50 from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln who sponsors this award and honored her at a noon luncheon.
