 JR. BASKETBALL: Register your 3.5 year old through 1st
grade child today for YMCA Jr. Basketball through October 22.
Children learn skills at weekly practices such as shooting,
dribbling, passing, as well as promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
Games are played on Saturday mornings at the Y Activity Center on
Wyatt Avenue while family watches and enjoys fellowship
opportunities. Cost is $47 and must be a current year Y member (2015
membership is now reduced 50% beginning October 1-December 2015 at a
cost of $17.50). Fee increases to $57 after October 22 deadline.
HARVEST OF TALENTS YMCA 5K RUN and/or 1 MILE FUN RUN/WALK:
Join us on Saturday, October 24 for the Y Annual Harvest of Talent
5K Run or the 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk. Register now through
October 22 at the Y office. Event starts at 8:45 am at the corner of
Hamilton and Pekin Streets. Long sleeved T-shirts available for the
first 60 individual registrants (limit of one t-shirt per family or
team). Cost is $20 for 5k or $15 for the Fun Run/Walk, $45 Family of
3+, $130 per team (12 max.) Cost is $5 additional on day of race
from 8-8:30 am. Sponsored by Red Oak Financial, Elkhart Grain
Company, and Guzzardo's Italian Villa.
KIDS RUN: Any child 6-12 years old can compete in an exciting
1 mile run at the Harvest of Talents event on Saturday, October 24
beginning at 8:15 am. Long sleeved T-shirts are available for the
first 10 runners who register. Cost is $15 per runner through
October 22 and is $20 day of race from 7:45-8:05 am. Location is at
the corner of Hamilton and Pekin Streets. Enroll your child today
for good exercise and great fun.

SCHOOL'S OUT FUN DAYS: October offers a total of four YMCA
Fun Days from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm to children in Preschool - 6th grade
at our Y Activity Center on days when school is not in session
(October 23 and November 11). Be sure to check your child's school
calendar! Cost is $22 per day if your child is enrolled in the Y
before and after school program or $25 per day for others. Children
must bring a sack lunch. Registration deadline is two weeks prior to
each fun day (fee increases $10 per child per day after each
deadline). Activities include recreational play and games, group
learning, story time, art activities, character building lessons,
and lots of hands-on fun! Enroll today while space is still
available.

programs at District #27 schools, CEL, Zion Lutheran and Olympia
