[October 29, 2015]  Oct 28 (The Sports Xchange) - Vancouver Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis and forward Brandon Prust will not travel on the upcoming two-game road trip, the team announced Wednesday.

Hamhuis did not play Tuesday night against the Montreal Canadiens because of a lower-body injury. Prust has a left ankle injury he sustained in a collision with Canadians forward Brian Flynn during the second period Tuesday.

St. Louis Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk is "days away" from returning to the lineup, coach Ken Hitchcock said.

Shattenkirk has been out since Oct. 13 with a lower-body injury. He did not practice Wednesday and will not play Thursday night against the Anaheim Ducks.

Florida Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr, who leads the Panthers with six goals and 10 points, is day to day because of a lower-body injury, the team announced.

Jagr was hurt during the first period of the Panthers' 4-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night. Jagr, the oldest player in the NHL at 43, played just 2:30 in the game.

The Tampa Bay Lightning assigned goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League for conditioning.

Vasilevskiy, 21, appeared in 16 games with the Lightning last season, posting a record of 7-5-1 to go along with a 2.36 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.

The Chicago Blackhawks recalled defenseman Erik Gustafsson from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Gustafsson, 23, has one assist and 10 penalty minutes in eight games with the IceHogs in his first professional season in North America. The Nynashamn, Sweden, native signed with the Blackhawks as a free agent on April 30. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
