- Grace Lutheran Church celebrates Central Illinois Veterans with 2
FREE events, “For God & Country,” on Sunday, November 1st and
Sunday, November 8th.

Grace Lutheran Church invites everyone to their building, located
at 1458 Hwy 121 in Lincoln, to participate in two FREE events
honoring and celebrating our Logan County and Central Illinois
Veterans and to recognize the selfless service and sacrifices made
by members of our armed forces.
Sunday, November 1st at 12:00pm, is specifically dedicated to
honoring WWII and Korean War Veterans. Come meet and hear WWII
Screaming Eagle and Battle of the Bulge veteran, speaker and author,
Vince Speranza. Vince will also by making available and autographing
his book “Nuts!” This is a FREE event, and there will be a FREE
lunch provided after Mr. Speranza’s speech.
Sunday, November 8th at 12:00pm is dedicated to honoring our Vietnam
era veterans. Come meet and hear Capt. Guy Gruters, Vietnam F-100
fighter pilot who was shot down twice and spent 5 years as a
Prisoner of War at the Hanoi Hilton.

He will be speaking on how to forgive your enemies. Please stay after Capt.
Gruters’ talk to have a FREE lunch and to meet and get an autograph from the

Grace Lutheran Church is located in the building formerly known as The Maple
Club. It has been in this location since 2014. Grace Lutheran Church is a member
of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
