LINCOLN
- Lincoln’s annual Christmas Parade will be held in downtown Lincoln
on Thursday, December 3, at 6:30 p.m. “A Candy Land Christmas” is
the theme for this year’s parade.

Since Main Street Lincoln closed its doors at the end of last
year, the popular Christmas Parade was left without someone to
spearhead the planning of the event. The Logan County Alliance
decided to take on the responsibility of running the event in order
to keep the long-standing tradition alive. The Logan County Alliance
is eager to get started. “When I learned the Chamber planned the
Christmas Parade for many years prior to Main Street, it just felt
right that we would take it back under our umbrella. I am very
excited to be planning this year’s parade. The Christmas Parade is a
tradition I have always enjoyed since I was a kid so it is something
that is very near and dear to my heart,” said Cara Barr, Events
Coordinator for the Logan County Alliance.
The Grand Marshal for the 2015 Christmas Parade will be chosen by
the community. The Alliance is asking community members to nominate
(via survey) the person they want to receive the honor of presiding
over this tradition in Lincoln. The survey link is

under the ‘Events’ section.
All entries must be decorated in a Christmas theme and comply with
the parade regulations found on the entry form and on the Alliance
website. For safety purposes, all entries will be required to be
lighted. For those who do not have lights, glow necklaces can be
purchased from the Logan County Alliance office beginning November
2, 2015.

religious, youth, and charitable organizations.
