Obituary
Linda Lea Davis of Lincoln, passed away Monday,
August 31, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center,
Springfield.
Linda was born to Loran and Aretta (Danner)
Ritchhart on September 18, 1940 in Lincoln.
She married Leo Dean Matson. In August of 1971 she
married Don Glenn Davis. He preceded her in death.
She worked for the State of Illinois at Lincoln
Development Center as a Supervisor. Linda was a
member of Lincoln Christian Church, the Eagles Lodge
and a long time member with Weight Watcher's. Her
hobbies included, traveling, cooking, shopping,
spoiling grandchildren, playing keyboard and organ
as well as riding motorcycles with her husband.
Surviving are her children: Vanessa Lynn (Brian)
Neavill, Athens, Loren Dean (Angela) Matson,
Springfield, David Lee Matson, Kenneth D. (Tammy)
Matson and stepdaughter Shari Lynn Boward all of
Lincoln. Also surviving are her brother, Lowell
Penrod Ritchhart of Mount Pulaski, and sister Lea
Madigan of Arizona, along with nine grandchildren
and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents and her husband. |
Services for Linda will be Sunday, September 6, 2015
at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home with
visitation from 5-7 p.m. and funeral to immediately
follow at 7 p.m. Pastor Greg Wooten will be
officiating. Cremation will then be accorded. Burial
will be at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln, at a later
date.
Memorials may go to the Alzheimer's Association and
will be accepted at the funeral home.
