 On Friday evening the team traveled to Davenport, IA for a match
with the St. Ambrose JV team. Lincoln and SAU battled thier way
though three sets with St. Ambrose coming out on top each time by
scores of 24-26, 22-25, 21-25. The close losses continued on
Saturday morning at the Sauk Valley CC triangular as LC fell to the
host school 23-25, 22-25, and 15-25. In the final match of the
weekend, the Lady Lynx bounced back after a 25-27 first set loss to
Moraine Valley CC to run off three straight wins by scores of 25-22,
25-15, 25-18. Lincoln's record now stands at 3-3.

LC Coach Mark Tippett: "The matches we played this weekend were each
positive learning experiences for our players. The teams we played
were all strong hitting teams who challenged us to work hard to
score. We were competitive in each set we played and by the end of
the weekend had improved our play in all areas of the game. I
believe we are going in the right direction and will continue to
improve as this season goes on."
Lincoln travels to play Parkland College on Wednesday evening.
