Obituary
Barbara Jean (Beaver) Lessen,85 of Lincoln passed
away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 8:25 p.m. at
The Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Lessen will be held on
Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Peasley Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeri Dennis
officiating.
Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the
service.
Burial will be at the New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Barbara Jean was born on October 26, 1929 the
daughter of Charles Verner Beaver. She was raised by
her loving grandparents: Joseph and Bertha Katz. She
was united in marriage to Richard Dean Lessen on
March 7, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 27,
2006.

Surviving are her daughter: Cathy (Gary) Jacob, two
grandchildren: Dean Jacob and Sarah Jacob.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of
Christ.
Barbara was a beautician , seamstress and loved
embroidery. She made several quilts for her family
to cherish. She was deeply loved by her family and
will deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorials may be made to the Logan County Health
Department or to The Christian Village.
