							Obituary 
							Clarence Spencer, 76, of Springfield, passed away on 
							Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 7:20 a.m. at the 
							Symphony of Lincoln Nursing Home in Lincoln. 
							 
							A Celebration of Life Service will be held on 
							September 12, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at 
							Sherman United Methodist Church, 2336 E. Andrew 
							Road, Sherman. 
							 
							Burial will be held at a later date at Camp Butler 
							National Cemetery in Springfield. 
							 
							Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 
							 
							Clarence Spencer was born on April 12, 1939 in 
							Springfield, the son of Homer C. and Ernestine 
							Truter Spencer. He was united in marriage to Adeline 
							Mae Crammond on June 26, 1956. She preceded him in 
							death.  
							 
							Surviving Mr. Spencer are his children: David Allen 
							(Vicki) Spencer, Diana (Kevin) Hughes, and Dawn R. 
							Taielua; two brothers: Larry Spencer and Ronnie 
							Spencer; three sisters: Donna Leamons, Karen 
							Anderson, and Cheryl Cryer; several grandchildren, 
							and several great-grandchildren. 
							 
							Clarence was preceded in death by his wife; one 
							daughter: Darla Kay Spencer; one son: Daniel 
							Spencer; and three sisters: Peggy Buhl, Barb Bilyeau, 
							and Nancy Webber.  | 
							
							 
                
                  
            Mr. Spencer was the former owner of CEE Jay Plumbing and Heating; 
			Roto Rotar Service, and Spencer Plumbing in Springfield; Aqualand 
			Pools, Cee Jay Ambulance Service, Lasarber Detective Agency and 
			Brewsters Detective Agency; and Josh H. Tucker / Fox Bait Store. He 
			was previously employed by Moonlight Gardens Roller Skating Rink, 
			and the Georgian Restaurant. He received his Illinois Plumbing 
			License. He served as a Police Officer at Dawson, Buffalo, and El 
			Paso, Woodford County Sheriff's Office, and Springfield Lake Police.
			 
			 
			Clarence served in the United States Air Force. 
			 
			Memorials may be made in his memory to the Peasley Funeral Home to 
			assist with funeral expenses.
