			 Saunders, the Timberwolves' coach and president, announced during 
			the summer that he has Hodgkin's lymphoma. He previously said he 
			planned to continue working while undergoing treatment for "very 
			treatable and curable" cancer. 
			 
			Since the 60-year-old Saunders was diagnosed in June, he has been 
			undergoing chemotherapy. 
			 
			Saunders took over as team president in 2013 and replaced Rick 
			Adelman as coach last season. The Timberwolves finished with a 16-66 
			record in 2014-15.

			The Brooklyn Nets announced that they have signed guard/forward 
			Dahntay Jones. 
			  
			Jones, 34, has played in 622 games (157 starts) for the Memphis 
			Grizzlies (2003-07), Sacramento Kings (2007-08), Denver Nuggets 
			(2008-09), Indiana Pacers (2009-12), Dallas Mavericks (2012-13), 
			Atlanta Hawks (2013) and Los Angeles Clippers (2014-15). He has 
			averaged 5.4 points and 1.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game. 
			 
			Last season, Jones came up from the D-League to play in 33 games for 
			the Clippers, averaging 0.6 points and 0.3 rebounds in 3.7 minutes 
			per game.

			Mike Miller, a forward for the Portland Trail Blazers, has filed a 
			lawsuit against an alleged Ponzi schemer.

			Miller is attempting to recover the uncollected balance of a $1.7 
			million investment in RAHFCO Hedge Funds -- a company created by 
			Vincent Puma of New Jersey and Randy Hansen of South Dakota. 
			 
			Miller's attorney, Scott Abdallah, said, "Mike has already recouped 
			a substantial amount of his investment from Mr. Puma because of 
			safeguards he took with this investment. He intends to hold him
