Christian Homes, Inc. (CHI) is
excited to announce an addition to their home and community-based
services division, with the purchase of CareLink, a provider of
home-care services. CareLink currently serves clients in eastern
Missouri and western and central Illinois. CareLink will continue
its same mission of providing in-home skilled nursing, nurse care
coordination and supportive services to help individuals live safely
in their own homes

“Serving clients in their own homes will allow us to provide another
level of care beyond the compassionate care we provide on our
campuses,” notes Tim Phillipe Ph.D., President of CHI. “We
understand that adults are more comfortable and feel safer in their
own homes and are choosing to live in their homes longer than in the
past. This expansion in our ministry allows us to serve clients on a
more comprehensive level,” he continued.
This new addition will allow new layers in customized care for
clients who need assistance in navigating the healthcare system.
CareLink will coordinate and evaluate needs for clients of all ages,
in order to assess what is best for them. The goal of our home care
is to allow clients the opportunity to stay in their home longer,
reduce cost of healthcare and prevent readmissions into healthcare
facilities. Whether the need is for short-term, extensive or
supportive care; CareLink works with the client to provide care and
assistance in all forms.

“This service will be beneficial to a wide range of
adults who need healthcare support for a variety of illnesses and
healthcare problems,” explains Dr. Phillipe. “Our hope is to keep
clients in the comfort and security of their own home, while
providing them a variety of services that may include accompanying
the client to a doctor visit, chronic disease management, home
safety checks, housework, coordinating healthcare services and much
more. We want to help navigate our client’s care plan and give them
and their family peace of mind.”
Christian Homes was established in 1962 as a not-for-profit,
faith-based healthcare provider for older adults. CHI provides
senior services in four Midwestern states, including independent
living garden homes and apartments, assisted living, rehab-to-home,
memory care, and skilled nursing services. CHI is also the parent
company to Safe Haven Hospice, serving central Illinois.
