[September 14, 2015]   LINCOLN - As some may already know, the St. John’s United Church of Christ will not be holding their annual German fest this year. But that doesn’t mean you won’t have an opportunity to get out and enjoy some great German food!

The Oasis Senior Center is partnering with the Humane Society of Logan County to hold its first ever Octoberfest on October 3 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will be held at the Oasis Senior Center and will feature great locally made brats and other German foods, along with an outdoor beer garden.

There will be face painting along with grown-up games and other activities.

The beer garden will be manned by HSLC volunteers and volunteers are needed. If you can come out a spend some time helping out, please contact Sue Newman at 217-671-1269.

Funds raised through the garden and meal tickets will be distributed between the Oasis and the HSLC.
