Tsunami watch issued for Hawaii following Chile quake

[September 17, 2015]  WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A tsunami watch was issued on Wednesday for Hawaii following a magnitude 8.3 earthquake off the coast of Chile, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.

The center said if tsunami waves impact Hawaii, the estimated earliest arrival time would be 2:28 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time (1228 GMT) on Thursday.
