On Saturday, Graue Chevrolet hosted a test drive fundraiser to benefit the Lincoln Community High School Choir and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In order to have their test drive count toward the fundraiser, would-be car buyers had only to sign up at the front desk of the dealership.

A conversation with owner Chris Graue revealed that the dealership wanted to offer support locally to the music program at the high school, but they also wanted to assist with fundraising for the JDRF. Graue said they committed to the JDRF because it hit home with one of the employees at the dealership.

In addition to the test drives, there was some great food being offered with burgers and brats being cooked on the grill right outside. The lunch was ultimately free to anyone who wanted it, but there was a bucket on hand where that diners could donate as they were led and could afford.
The JDRF had a table set up and was selling raffle tickets, and there were also volunteers on hand for a car wash, again for a donation.

At the end of the day, Graue said the fundraiser brought in about $1,000 for the high school choir and another $300 or so for the JDRF.

Raffle ticket sales and a car wash were being held to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Anyone who wished could sign up for the test drive at Graue’s and have a donation made to the Lincoln Community High School Choir as well as the JDRF. For each test drive $25 was donated to the Choir and $10 to the JDRF.
