MOUNT
PULASKI - Brian Batchelder, son of Steve and Lori Batchelder of
Mount Pulaski, has been named September Senior-of-the-month at Mount
Pulaski High School.

He was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship,
leadership, service, and character.
Brian is very involved in activities at MPHS. He has been a member
of the Soccer team for 4 years. He has also participated in
Scholastic Bowl, Band, Spanish Club, and Spirit Squad for 4 years.
He has been a member of the WYSE team for 3 years and a member of
the National Honor Society for 2 years.
Outside of school Brian has played for the Lincoln FC Soccer team
for 4 years. He is also a member of the Illiopolis United Methodist
Church Board of Trustees and volunteers his time there regularly. He
also attends youth group at the First Christian Church in Clinton.

Brian plans on attending college to become a pharmacist.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson’s Food Center and
Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly award winners receive a $50 award paid to
the college they plan to attend.
