Obituary
James Roscoe “Skip” Proctor, 77, passed away at
12:50 a.m. on September 22, 2015 at Symphony of
Decatur.
Skip was born on September 16, 1938 in Decatur; son
of Kenneth E. and Eugenia P. Proctor Howe. He
married Janice Kay Coulson on August 10, 1968 in
Decatur. She survives him.
Also surviving Skip are his daughters: Stephanie
(Casey) Westen of Latham, and Jennifer Wallace of
Bloomington; two sisters: Maxine Dorsey of Marana,
AZ and Jeanne Febus of Bloomington; one brother: Dr.
Richard Davis Howe of Bowling Rock, NC; two
grandchildren: Kyle and Colton Westen. He was
preceded in death by his parents, grandparents,
three sisters, and four brothers.

Skip was a member of the United Methodist Church of
Latham, Warrensburg Summit Lodge, Ansar Shrine of
Springfield, Decatur Lions Club, Latham Fire
Department (50 years), assisted with sports in
Warrensburg Junior High and High School, Milliken
University, school bus driver in Warrensburg for 29
years and Mount Pulaski Schools for 14 years,
Monticello Bus Service, Charter Bus for 33 years,
and retired from AE Staley after 35 years of
service.
A memorial service for Skip will be at 1:00 p.m.
Sunday October 11, 2015 at the Latham First United
Methodist Church with Rev. Zoila Marty officiating.
Burial of Cremains will follow services at Lake Bank
Cemetery, Latham.
Memorials may be made to the Family of James
Proctor, Latham Fire Department, or the Springfield
Ansar Shrine.
