The Lady Wolverines started the night against Springfield St.
AL's. The Lady Wolverines opened up the first quarter with a
17-0 lead and never looked back. The Lady Wolverines held their
lead and ended the game with a 50-7 win.
As the season has demonstrated many of the ladies have
contributed to the offensive attack and this game was no
exception. Leah Schneider led all scorers with 22 points as
Madelyn Koehler added 14. Also scoring were Makayla Anderson
with two, Asia Sales; three, Tori Schilling; five, Brooke
Montcalm; two, and Madison Orebaugh; two.
Leah Schneider also led the team in rebounding with five as
Madison Orebaugh and Tori Schilling added three.
On the defensive side Madelyn Koehler, Brooke Montcalm, Leah
Schneider, and Madison Orebaugh all contributed with four steals
apiece.
The Second game of the night had the Lady Wolverines facing the
home team of Carroll Catholic/New Holland-Middletown/Zion
Lutheran.
The Lady Wolverines once again came out in the first quarter and
put up a 23-0 lead. The final score for the night was 61-9.
Nine players from the Lady Wolverines team assisted with the
offense scoring. Leah Schneider led all scorers with 19 as
Madelyn Koehler added 18. Also scoring for WLB was, Makayla
Anderson; two, Asia Sales; six, Karissa Bowman; four, Emily
Paulus; two, Tori Schilling; six, Brooke Montcalm; two, and
Madison Orebaugh; two.
Emily Paulus hit the weak side boards hard and pulled down six
rebounds as did Leah Schneider. Madelyn Koehler continued with
her quick hands and picked up seven steals for the team.
With the two wins, the eighth grade Lady Wolverines are now 3-1.
