- Kathleen T. Williams, 89, of Elkhart passed away on Friday, March 25,
2016 at 12:25 a.m. at Oak Terrace Healthcare Center in Springfield.

Friday, April 1, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at
St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Elkhart
Service:
Friday at 11 a.m. at the church

Obituary
Kathleen T. Williams, 89, died on Friday, March 25,
2016, at 12:25 a.m. at Oak Terrace Healthcare Center
in Springfield.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 1,
2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church
in Elkhart. Rev. Simon Taabu will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m.
until 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Kathleen Teresa Fitzgibbon was born July 28, 1926,
in Broadwell, the daughter of John and Kathryn Van
Meter Fitzgibbon. She married Perry Williams in St.
Louis on January 22, 1949. He preceded her in death
on May 24, 2001.
Kathleen is survived by her children: John (Denise)
Williams of Elkhart and Teresa Williams of
Rochester, New York; three grandsons: Nicholas
(Lauren Boaz) Williams of St. Louis, Elliot (Andrea)
Williams of Frohnleiten, Austria, and Kyle (Amber)
Williams of Lake in the Hills, Ill.; and three
great-grandchildren. |
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry; one
son: Paul Williams; and one brother: John
Fitzgibbon.
Kathleen was retired from the Illinois Department of
Agriculture and Illinois Department of
Transportation. She enjoyed antique shows and gem
and mineral shows. She was a member of St. Patrick's
Catholic Church.
Memorials may be made to the Elkhart Fire Department
or the Alzheimer's Association.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
