Obituary
Bertie J. McGuire, 86, of McLean passed away on
Friday, April 1, 2016 at 1:08 p.m. at OSF St. Joseph
Medical Center in Bloomington.
Graveside Services for Mrs. McGuire will be held on
Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the McLean
Cemetery in McLean.
Bertie J. Forrest was born on November 11, 1929 in
Lincoln, the daughter of Frank and Hazel Samples
Forrest. She was united in marriage to Roy N.
McGuire in August 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church
in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on January 24,
2014.
Surviving Bertie are her son: Mark (Patty) McGuire,
two grandsons: Doug (Mindy) McGuire and Todd
McGuire; and two great-grandchildren: Kellen and
Harper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five
brothers and three sisters.
Bertie retired from St. Joseph Hospital after 44
years as a Nurse's Aide.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in
Atlanta.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hope Funks Grove
Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted with
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
