Obituary
Eugene Kruse, 82, passed away at 10:15 a.m. at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, on April 5,
2016.
Eugene was born on March 6, 1934 in St. Elmo, son of
Howard and Effie Maddox Kruse. He married Beverly
McCain on September 21, 1953 in Lincoln. She
survives him.
Also surviving Eugene is his son: Michael (Kathy)
Kruse of Atlanta, three sisters: Rosalyn Jones of
Assumption, Darlene Winters of Assumption, Dorothy
(Red) Green of Virden, three grandchildren: Victoria
(Richard) Southwood, Heather (Jason) Breese, and
David (Jennifer) Kruse; five great-grandchildren:
Hunter, Ethan, Chole, Connor, and Abram. Eugene was
preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Elaine
Swisher; and one brother, Raymond Kruse. |
Eugene was a United States Army Veteran who served
from 1956-1958.
Services for Eugene will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday
April 9, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln with Rev. Robert Henderson
officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to
the service. Burial at Zion Cemetery will follow the
service where full military rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be given to The Humane Society of
Logan County.
