This year's walk will take place May 1st at Kickapoo Creek Park
on Lincoln north side and will start at the north pavilion. Walkers
should arrive at noon check-in, with the actual walk getting
underway at 1:30 p.m.
Those who register to participate before April 15th will have their
names entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate donated by
Lincoln IGA. Those early registrants must have pledges to be
eligible for the drawing. Additionally, any walker receiving $100 in
pledges will receive a free MS Walk T-shirt on the day of the walk.
"The easiest way to register for the walk is on our website, www/lincolnms.com,"
said Dr. Ron Pierce, a retired Lincoln veterinarian who is chairman
of the event. Those who don't have access to a computer can register
by calling Pierce at 217-735-2075.

"You can have a good spring Sunday afternoon walk with friends in a beautiful
surrounding while helping to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis," Pierce said in
encouraging area residents to participate.
As part of the MS Walk's fundraising activities, the sponsoring organization
will serve rib eye and pork chop sandwiches at Lincoln IGA on April 23.
