Obituary
Derek Sherrer, 43, of Atlanta passed away on April
9, 2016.
Derek was born on January 7, 1973 in Lincoln, the
son of Dave and Vicki (Downing) Sherrer. He married
Carrie Spurgen on March 7, 2013 in Lincoln. She
survives.
Derek is also survived by his father; his
step-mother, Linda Sherrer; his son, Andrew Sherrer
of Lincoln; his sisters, Stacey (Ronnie) Shull of
Beason, Tonia Lowe of Atlanta, Kelsey (CJ) Skelton
of Sainte Genevieve, MO. his step brothers, Shane
Smith of Petersburg, IL and Eric Smith of Lincoln;
step children: Sebastian Harold, Bryson Harold,
Trenton Harold, and Alexeyia Griffin; and his step
sister, Jodi Miller of Lincoln.

Derek was preceded in death by his mother, Vicki
May.
Derek enjoyed spending time outside, especially
fishing and hunting.
Services for Derek will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday
April 15, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home Lincoln, with Rev. Darren Palmer officiating.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on
Thursday April 14, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial
will follow the services at Zion Cemetery in
Lincoln. Memorial donations may be made in Derek’s
name to the family.
