Obituary
Lee LaCount Hayden Sr., 81, of Lincoln, passed
away April 14, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Funeral services will
follow at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home with
Bishop Fiore Belmonte of the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints, Springfield. Burial will
follow in Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.
Lee was born March 19, 1935 in Mounds, the son of E.
Phil and Marjorie (Austin) Hayden.
He was a very active member of his church and was
dedicated to the Mormon faith. He formerly was
employed at Westclox in Peru, IL. and Hobbs in
Springfield. He was also a former cub scout leader.
Lee enjoyed his vegetable garden and liked to kid
around. |
Surviving are his children: LaVeda Zenor, Sheila Hayden, and Lee LaCount Jr.,
his brother Keith Hayden, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Beverly Mattson, and his
grandson Shawn Hayden.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the family
and will be accepted at the funeral home.
