Apex Clean Energy acquires Sugar
Creek Wind One Project

CHARLOTTESVILLE,
VA - Apex Clean Energy has acquired the Sugar Creek Wind One project
from American Wind Energy Management Corp (AWEM). The project has
the potential to support 175 MW of wind energy capacity in Illinois.

“Sugar Creek is a high-quality project in an important market,”
said Mark Goodwin, president of Apex. “Building on AWEM’s strong
foundation of work, we look forward to bringing the project to
completion.”
“AWEM is very excited to be moving the project forward through the
acquisition by Apex,” added Andreas Knauer, president of AWEM. “We
look forward to working hand-in-hand with the Apex team through the
final stages of development and into construction.”
