Tejada, 26, injured his quad in the team's final spring training
game on March 31 and began the 2016 season on the disabled list. He
was signed by the Cardinals as a free agent on March 19 following
his release by the New York Mets.

surgeon James Andrews was unable to complete his examination.
Instead, Sandoval received a shot of cortisone and will have to wait
at least two weeks for the swelling to subside before Andrews can
complete his examination.
